WAKISO SHOULD BORROW A LEAF FROM SSEMBABULE
There is a difference between Ssembabule and Wakiso leaders. In
Ssembabule, which was once one county and now Lwemiyaga and Mawogola
South and Mawogola North, in addition to Ssembabule and Mateete town
councils, there arew efforts to have Lwbitakuli town council and
Nakaseke Sub County to be curved out of Lwebitakuli Sub County, the
mpost populous sub county in the district since 1980 census, which
itself was curved out of Mateete Sub County by Idi AMin in 1974.
Then we have Mateete Sub County which is still large and desnelu
populated even when Mateete Town Council was curved out of it. Thanks
to Mawogola North MP who is also Ssembabule District Chairperson and
Foreign Minister, Sam Kahamba Kuteesa.
My own Mijwala Sub County which was once one parish called Miyenje,
under my great grand father, the late Prince Nyansi Bulemzi Kasajja,
brought in Lugusuulu Sub County in 1995 and Ssembabule Town Council in
1997. Now Lugusuulu will produce another sub county of Kawanda, and
after talking with our MP, Mijwala itself will allow Mabindo which
boarders with Bukomansimbi to be a sub county, so that my own parish
Nsoga and Kidokolo which boarders with Lyantonde, remain in Mijwala.
We have not talked about Lwemiyaga, but l know he will help to ensure
that Lwemiyaga also becomes a town council.
In addition to Mpigi-Kanoni-Villa Maria road that is under
construction, Ssembabule Mbiriizi will also soon be done the same
according to the Minister and even the President during 2016
campaighn, and at Masindfi, the President talked about Masaka-Mubende
High Way. Nadduli at Kyazanga on independence day, talked about
Ssembabule-Kyazanga-Rakai, which will pass from my home Nambiriizi
village.
But come back to Wakiso, Busaabala road construction has failed, a
municipality status was achieved to our tireless efforts, but a second
and third constituencies failed, Kyaddondo district was sabotaged and
even city status for ENtebbe, Wakiso, Nabweru and Kira are being
sabotaged. Then we call ourselves leaders!
At least we should have four urban districts of Entebbe, Wakiso,
Nabweru and Kira and a rural district of Busiro North.
I will continue importing progressive tactics from Ssembabule to
Wakiso, God willing.
