SV: {UAH} A message from the Diaspora "ambassador "

Mw Semuwemba,
Thanks, for this message, but we in other parts of the Diaspora those are living very far away from the US we hope there would be arrangement to meet us and discussed our concern about those issues at home in Uganda.
We are quite concerned particularly on the issue of Dual citizenship and, or the renewal of our Passports in Uganda. There exists a lot of delays whereby even our files with the old Passports just get lost with amount moneys (fees) paid for such services.

MINISTRIES OF LANDS AND INTERNAL AFFAIRS' ENGAGEMENT WITH UGANDANS INTHE DIASPORA AT A 'LAND AWARENESS/DUAL CITIZENSHIP AND LAUNCHING OF E-VISA/PASSPORT DAY'  ON SATURDAY 25TH MARCH 2017 /NOON AT MARRIOT HOTEL BETHESDA, 5151 POOKS HILL Rd, MD 20814 MARYAND, WASHINGTON.D.C.

Dear Ugandans living in the Diaspora, for quite a while we have been duped or fraud by relatives and friends in sham land deals. Most times than not, we have encountered forgery of the lands' those who have gone back home and worse still for our own who fail to go home due to various reasons (illegal immigration issues) where we are left to wonder about deeds of our relatives and friends.  Some have purchased land from either non-existing landlords or got duped with illicit tittles that could have caveat from the rightful owners or any illegal transactions which might have been effected on the lands in question. Consequently, we have had issues in applying for Dual citizenship; E-Visa and other services from the Internal Affairs ministry.  In response to our concerns, I have persuaded the Ministries of Lands and Internal Affairs to come over and offer these services to us in the Diaspora.

The two ministries have in conjunction, agreed and are to be hosted in Washington D.C. on the 25th March 2017 at 11am. On the scheduled day, the Minister of Lands Hon. Betty Amongi shall lead a team of technical personnel from the ministry. These will provide Ugandans in the Diaspora the much desired service of verifying our land titles; and sharing of pertinent issues regarding the land laws; related problems and available measures to solve any complaints. The team shall ensure that the harboured land linked troubles are solved spot on.
Concurrently, a delegation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, E-Visa/Passport renewal and Dual Citizenship registration directorate, shall as well be part of the team to offer similar services to you who live in the otherworld. At this event the teams shall sort out our land issues and the E-Visa/Passport renewal and Dual citizenship processes that are usuallycumbersome and tedious due to the bureaucracy and red tape back home.

Why you should not miss out:
We in the Diaspora have notbenefitted from the different government service delivery measures; hence we need to embrace this opportunity.

During the event those interested in applying for Dual Citizenship certificates for spouses or their children or wish to receive E-Visa/Passport renewals shall have the advantage to do so. In addition the directorate shall sensitize Ugandans on the new measures of the E-Visa application which will ultimately be launched as well. For those willing to apply for dual certificate, they will pay a sum of USD $ 400 (United States Dollars Four Hundred Only) to process the application and to receive certificates as and when they come home without going through the hustle and bustle we have experienced in the past.

The technical teams from the two ministries as mandated by law, through this pro-active programme, shall therefore be there to meet you; share and resolve your problems relating to those issues at the scheduled 'Land/ E-Visa and Passport and Dual citizenship Awareness Day' One Stop Centre on Saturday 25th March 2017 to be held in Maryland/Washington, D.C USA.

I look forward to meeting you there and I also encourage you to massively inform or fellow Ugandans in the neighboring countries to take advantage of this event.
See you there.
