Research reveals African countries with the best English speakers; Uganda ranked ahead of Kenya

The world needs to stop now after a new study revealed that Uganda actually beat Kenya in something other than in football.

According to reports, a study was conducted by World Linguistic Society after Miss Rwanda failed to express herself in English at a 2015 contest.
Uwase Honorine could hardly answer the questions asked by the judges considering she comes from a French speaking country.
The study ranked the top 9 best English speaking countries and Kenya is not where you would have expected it to be.

Top on the list was Uganda. Yes, people from the land of matoke can articulate themselves better in English than any other country in Africa.
Second and third places went to Zambia and South Africa.
No dispute there but it is extremely unexpected for Kenya to be ranked fourth for all our being the best economy in East Africa, best universities in the horn of Africa and all our know how in so many things.

But then, I might just be biased because I'm Kenyan and I've heard Ugandans speak. For all their five words, I only understand three. Ask me, my nanny is Ugandan.
Moving on from my shade, Zimbabwe came in fifth as Malawi and Ghana trailed in sixth and seventh place.
According to New Vision Ugandat, taking position eight and nine were Botswana and Sudan.

While the study remains contentious and unverifiable, it goes to show that English is becoming one of the major languages being used in a continent with thousands of local dialects.
