Kaweesi's widow to undergo C-section on Wednesday

Annet Kaweesi, the widow to the slain police spokesperson Andrew Felix Kaweesi is due to undergo a cesarean section on Wednesday. Annet is expecting the couple's fourth child in a marriage that lasted 10 years.

Annets' brother Anthony Ssemuli told mourners in Rubaga Cathedral that the operation was already scheduled to take place by the time her husband, the late Andrew Felix Kaweesi was killed.

Kaweesi was killed alongside his bodyguard Kenneth Erau and driver Godfrey Mambewa during an attack by unknown gunmen in Kulambiro, a suburb of Kampala. He will be laid to rest on Tuesday at his ancestral home in Kitwekyanjovu, Kyazanga, and Lwengo district.

A day after his burial, the widow will check into hospital for the operation. Annet last underwent C-section in 2012.

In her brief speech, Annet Kaweesi requested mourners to pray for her during the trying moment and enable her to raise the young orphans left in her custody.

She praised her fallen husband saying that despite his busy schedule and the sacrifice he had to make for the nation, Kaweesi always made time for his family.
