-- Here is the official Labour Party explanation of the cause of the Grenfell Tragedy.There is therefore absolutely no truth in Afuwa kasule's claim that the tragedy was a conspiracy by known and unknown forces to murder muslims. As John McDonnell makes clear here, the Grenfell tragedy was a crime committed by the UK state against the poor.
Less than a year ago, Jeremy Corbyn moved a bill in the UK parliament to impose strict building conditions on all new and proposed buildings in the UK. His bill also sought to impose a heavier duty on all land lords to make their properties safe for occupation, and for the establishment of a safety body to issue certificates of safety for every building rented out for occupancy. He was laughed at in parliament. They called him a lunatic, anti- progress, anti-landlord etc. But who is laughing now? If Corbyns's bill had become law, would hundreds of innocent people have been consigned to a death trap where many were roasted to death?
Lets stop viewing very tragic matters through squinted religious glasses. It does no good to the memory of the victim because it provides alibi for the criminals as John MacDonnel rightly makes clear in his statement quoted below.
