{UAH} WBK, You guys are something else!!!! NASA accuses IEBC of giving printed logs instead of 'read only' server access

NASA has accused IEBC of failing to comply with Supreme Court order to access its servers.

The Opposition said the electoral agency only allowed printed logs contrary to court orders.

"At IEBC. We've been stonewalled. No Read Only Access. They want to give already printed logs," lawyer Paul Mwangi said via Twitter on Tuesday.

Mwangi added "It's back to court in the morning".

His tweet attracted a hashtag #ObeyCourtOrders in which both NASA and Jubilee supporters aired their opinion on the access to the servers.

"It is so unfortunate that @IEBCKenya is offering us already printed fake logs instead of read only access to their servers," Embakasi MP elect Babu Owino said.

@lloydOnyango said "IEBC are instead presenting pre-done logs.We must resist and insist IEBC provides access urgently as directed by the court."

"Important that @IEBCKenya respects the rule of law and #ObeyCourtOrders if they have nothing to hide. Do you agree? Retweet if you do," @Asmali77 said.

@nyandiga said "Chebukati argued that elections were free, fair and verifiable. What's difficult in opening the servers for verification?"

"By refusing to #ObeyCourtOrders @IEBCKenya must be hiding something or buying time to do a clean up,both actions will dent its credibility," @Khalif_A_Abdul said.

@Nyamwanda said "@IEBCKenya must respect the rule of law and #ObeyCourtOrders its really simple and straight foward if they have nothing to hide."

But IEBC in a quick rejoinder said on Twitter "The Commission has complied with orders as framed the Supreme Court. All parties in the petition are going on with the scrutiny."

The Supreme Court on Monday ordered IEBC to allow NASA, which is disputing the results of this month's presidential poll, to have access to its computer servers and electronic devices used in the counting of votes.

Justice Isaac Lenaola said NASA and Jubilee could have limited access to the electronic devices to verify certain details.

Lenaola said the petitioners should also be given access login trails of users into the IEBC servers, password policy and password matrix.

"They should also be given certified copies of certificates of penetrations test prior to elections, specific groups location of KIEMS within August 5 to 11," he added.
