{UAH} MP to table bill allowing P7 failures to stand for presidency

The Democratic party President Norbert Mao early this week took to social media and tweeted: Listening to the ongoing cabinet press conference justifying lifting age limit I urge URA to propose a tax on stupidity!
On Friday, Kasambya County MP Gaffa Mbwatekamwa thought leave from parliament to work on yet another bill, aimed this time at removing all academic qualifications for all elective positions in the country. The bill allows any Ugandan regardless of academic qualification to stand for any elective position including the presidency.
Hon Mbwatekamwa himself is a Masters Degree Holder. He also has a post graduate diploma and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology.

The country's topmost elective positions, including the presidency, parliament and district leadership require a minimum education of A' Level or an equivalent.
Academic qualification has been one of the causes of problems especially in parliamentary elections, and led to cancellation of a number of election results.
