{UAH} Another Citizen Moves to Sue Government over Age Limit Bill
Just a day after Male Mabirizi dragged government to court challenging the procedures of amending the Age Limit Bill, another concerned citizen called Pius Kabiswa has notified the Attorney General (AG) of his intentions to petition the Constitutional Court if he (AG) doesn't exercise his legal mandate of advising the President not to assent to the amended age-limit bill which he claims is full of illegalities.
Through his lawyers of Malende and Company advocates, he has served the Attorney General William Byaruhanga a letter giving him only 30 days with in which to comply or else he seeks court redress.
In his letter, Kabiswa says that he has hope that within that 30-day period — the President has to sign the bill so that it becomes a law, the AG — who is the government's chief legal advisor will be able to give him (president) wise counsel not to sign the bill but instead return it to parliament to correct the alleged irregularities.
