{UAH} DREAM TV TONIGHT

AFTER INCUMBENT PRESIDENT, MPS AND LCS FALL INTO THINGS, WHAT NEXT?
Brothers and sisters, welcome back from Juma prayers. I prayed at
Nakasero mosque and the Khatib and imam, Sheikh Habib Marijan taught
us the origins of duwa/call and the proper way we should hold it
especially during prayer and not after as it is usually the case.
I also send my condolence message to management and staff of Vision
Group for losing one of their editors, M/s Keturah Kamugasa, who
passed away on Wednesday December 20th 2017. I came to know her when l
joined New Vision in 1994 and she has been very inspiring. May the
Almighty God reward her accordingly.
This has come at a time when they had just lost veteran photo
journalist Peter Busomoke, who is said to have come from DR Congo,
came in 1969 to cover the visit of Pope Paul VI in 1969, as he was a
seminarian cum journalist, naturalized as a Ugandan in 1973, and the
rest is history. R.I.P.
This week, as Baganda say, "Saalutumiddwa mwana," for the first time,
l covered 10th parliament, in order to eyewitness how history is
repeated and l assure you l will not fail to narrate it to my grand
children, God willing. This is because l had covered NRC in 1993 when
passing Constituent Assembly Statute, C.A. 1994 and 1995, 6th
parliament when deleting presidential term limits and bringing in
political party activities and regional governments in 2005, and so,
this week was significant.
To me, every thing could be possible and acceptable, except for the
incumbent President, MPs and LCs to be the first beneficiaries of the
extension of the term from five to seven years, pending referendum. l
think either our own constitutional court or the East Africa Court
will not hesitate to declare than unconstitutional.
l also observed that while MPs from the North and North East could
attach to their support or oppose the Raphael Magyezi bill, with their
aspirations or rejection including a federal form of government or
regional governments, where some even threatened to secede if doing
away with presidential age limits is not replaced with federalism, and
others dismissing them as empty threats, no Buganda MP mentioned any
EBYAFFE demand be federalism, regional governments, or any other.
Unfortunately, other than New Vision, the rest of the main stream
media be print or electronic, never also amplified that line. They
only concentrated on the age limit. But a section of Online and
Social Media tried to do so.
With the will of God, tonight, on Dream TV from 9.00 to 10.00 pm, l
shall be joined by one of my MPs, Hon. Veronica Nannyondo,
Bukomansimbi District Woman MP in Tuzimbe Eggwanga program, moderated
by Apollo Tusiime, and we shall analyze the way forward after this
historical week. Please stay tuned.
