{UAH} Gen MUNTU, telling his new FDC party leader to keep the party together.
Fellow Ugandans with friends.
Let me try to agree with your parable, but or sentiment and lamentation of Gen MUNTU, trying to tell his new FDC party leader to keep the party together. Let me hastened to say that, though I am not a supporter of FDC, but I feel the building of internal party democracy is true way for real political tolerance and acceptance with hope for peaceful coexistence. Why? Because as our Uganda political foundation started playing real politics during the days of Uganda National Congress (UNC), engineered by the late MUSAAZI Ignatius and his Comrades. Truly, that foundation began as a nationalistic hopes for political struggles with the clear journeys and norms of competition of ideas for independence of Uganda from British Colonialism. Such long and enormous journey started burning like the wild bushfires that had engulfed the whole African continent through the early1920s running through the mid1930s and the early 1940s.
WELL, such political exuberances of Ugandans, I think imploded in Cairo Egypt in the early-1950s running through the late1950s when the strong political winds of our awareness and changes started to gain ground in the whole African continent where the British Colonialism powers started to wane and weaker. Instead of our nationalists political leaderships starting to consolidate their strong nationalism political gains, but quickly, British Colonialism started planting seeds of political discords based on our coerced ethnic diversities. The implosion, mentioned above in Cairo was the chaos within the UNC politics, which could not move on collectively when they wanted to establish its branch office in Egypt in the mid1950s through the late1950s ending in the early 1960s.
CLEARLY, the political infightings among our nationalists, brought the sadness which we may witness in the political crisis within the FDC party with the strongmen leadership syndrome whereby it is BESIGYE owning FDC. Sadly, but this is the bitter truth because under the strongman syndrome BESIGYE has become indispensable for the FDC political party like M7 has become within the NRA/M/0 political party in Uganda. This means, we may agree to disagree, but it seems BESIGYE is playing the infamous Russian roulettes or in my rude interpretation - the style of politics like President PUTIN of Russia who was first Prime Minister when MEDVEDEV was the President.
FRANKLY, as times went on, PUTIN made a tricky power agreement with President MEDVEDEV to become a Prime Minister meanwhile he (PUTIN) assumed the Presidency of Russia since they are leaders of their political party. This, is what I think BESIGYE will do with AMURIAT, since he did it against MUNTU in order to be the infamous Flag bearer for the 2016 with the claim that MUNTU was weak to win that 2016 general elections against the NRA/M7 regime.
Cheers and have a nice weekend!
