Pastor in love triangle scampers for safety as goons attack him in church
- The preacher, accused of preying on his flock was attacked by hired goons on the podium
- It took intervention by the police to save him from the mob
A man of God alleged to be preying on his flock in Vihiga County escaped death by a whisker when a mob of hired goons stormed his church armed with crude weapons, baying for his blood.
The crooks are said to have timed when the mass was about to come to an end, stormed the church and made a beeline for the podium, beat up the pastor mercilessly before he slithered and bolted at maximum speed.
The preacher is rumoured to be in a love triangle with a faithful at the church. Unable to dazzle the pastor with brilliance and win back the woman, the aggrieved faithful decided to baffle the man of God with bull$#!t by hiring the goons to teach him a lesson.
On Sunday, the events that unfolded left everyone in the church shocked as a group of youths attacked the preacher at the church just before he concluded the day's sermon.
"Immediately the preacher finished preaching, a group of goons stormed the church and attacked him, leaving most of us in shock. We had not yet given our offerings," said one of the faithful at the church.
"Initially, most people thought that the youths had been touched by the message from the man of God and wanted to repent their sins and be prayed for, but when they moved into the altar and attacked the preacher, everyone was shocked," said a faithful.
"This is the price one pays for not zipping his trousers and visiting other men's houses and overstaying his visits in their absence," yelled one of the youthful goons as they went hammer and tongs on the pastor.
Police arrived
The preacher was saved by the Luanda police officers who were called to the scene by one member of the church.
"We managed to arrest one youth who is at the police custody and who will help with the investigations," a police officer at Luanda police station who is not allowed to address the press told Crazy Monday.
The preacher, however, was saved by the fracas that ensued when the police arrived, and has not been heard off again since.
The cuckold man, who watched as the youths clobbered and roughed up the pastor in the church, swore to make sure that he disciplined him properly for preying on his wife.
He said that initially, the man had been coming to their house for meals consistently, which later turned into preying on his wife who gave in unknowingly.
"I have not yet decided what to do with her as she has run away and does not want to talk," said the man.
