THE RWANDAN MOVEMENT FOR DEMOCRATIC CHANGE WELCOMES A NEW MOVEMENT, RRM

We, The Party for Democracy in Rwanda (PDR-IHUMURE), The National Council for Renewal and Democracy (CNRD-UBWIYUNGE) and The Rwandese Revolutionary Movement (RRM);

Considering the current socio-economic and political situation in Rwanda characterised by an unprecedented dictatorship, social and judicial inequalities, serious violations of the fundamental human rights as well as the concentration of the country's resources into the hands of a small clique in power and its close aids,

Preoccupied with the vicious Rwandan problem of refugeehood, whereby many of those refugees live in unacceptable human conditions,

Convinced that the only way to find a durable solution to all those problems is the instauration of a multiparty democracy which would open doors to a frank and inclusive dialogue in order to establish a system of governance based on the people's aspirations,

The existing members of the platform MRCD decided to:

Welcome a new organisation, The Rwandese Revolutionary Movement, RRM in the acronym and join efforts in order to bring about a democratic change in Rwanda.

The MRCD is ready to collaborate with any political or civil society organisation that stands for democracy, human rights and the well-being of the Rwandan people in general.

We, therefore, call upon all Rwandans and the entire International Community to support our initiative and consequently join our platform.
