{UAH} WBK, Ocen, Edmund//Dreaded office in Jomo, Moi eras dies at 82
Folks;
Long before the face of brutality in Kenya's police was James Opiyo, of the Special Branch's Nyayo House unit, Joginder Singh Sokhi was busy paving the way, by killing and maiming politicians suspected of working for the downfall of the Jomo Kenyatta and Daniel arap Moi regimes.
While Joginder Singh specialized in abducting and eliminating the regimes' vocal opponents, his British counter-part, Patrick Shaw used sheer intimidation and "enhanced" interrogations to force their subjects to confess to crimes that did not know anything about.
For their service, Joginder Sokhi survived long enough to die a natural death. Patrick Shaw was shot dead at State House Nairobi, by another psychotic defender of the regime.
James Opiyo is now wasting away in his home village in Migori, a recluse shunned by most of his family and all his former bosses.
