{UAH} The World Will Stand With Us If We Show The World We Are Ready for Change
Creating The New Uganda We Deserve
Sisters and Brothers our Great Exalted Visionary Dictator Gen. Museveni used to quote Fanon to justify his gratuitous violence which of course Fanon never championed. Fanon also said: "Each generation must, out of relative obscurity, discover its mission, fulfill it, or betray it."
Our generation's mission is clear.
What can be more honorable than working to free Bobi Wine, Francis Zaake, Gerald Karuhanga, Paul Mwiru, Michael Mabikke, Kasiano Wadri and the 30 others whose names we don't know -- all victims of politically-motivated beatings and torture?
What can crystallize the abhorrent nature of this regime more than the image of a tortured woman, dragged in pain before a "judge," while bleeding from her private part?
Let's accept that we have never had a government we think we deserve in Uganda.
Let's resolve that we can create a government we do deserve given our collective talents and aspirations and having been scorched by the flames of our ugly political history.
Let's commit ourselves today -- Sisters and Brothers at home and in Diaspora-- to that mission; freeing our captive tortured Sisters and Brothers (and country) and Creating a new Uganda.
The Uganda We Deserve. The Uganda We Have Earned.
