Prof. Ford's testimony is so lucid and chilling that I don't see any further efforts by President Trump to plow ahead with his nominee, Brett Kavanaugh.

Trump should cut his loss, and pick someone else. 

His original plan was to have Kavanuagh confirmed in time for the start of the Supreme Court year on Monday, October 1. That calculation should be shelved, and fresh search for a candidate begun.

 Kavanaugh is either a recovering alcoholic, or an unrepentant rapist. Whatever his story, he's unsuitable for the Supreme Court.
