Cancellation of Kyarenga Concert

Uganda Police was informed about Hon. Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine concert scheduled to take place on the 20th of October 2018. 

The police provided a provisional clearance pending consultations with our sister agencies. 

Police together with other intelligence organs have found out that the concert has a hidden agenda of overthrowing the legitimate government of President Museveni. 

We have gathered intelligence indicating that the concert will be turned into a political rally which will be commanded to go on streets.

It has also come to our attention that such events are used to insult the person of the President where degrading names like Bosco are used to refer to the President as it was the case on the 28th of September 2018 in Masaka district during the Democratic party event. 

We informed Hon. Kyagulanyi about our decision but as usual he defied our orders and went on to publicize the concert.

The public is hereby warned not to go to Nambole on the 20th as it will be illegal.

This therefore serves to confirm that the Kyarenga concert has been cancelled until further notice
