{UAH} Eric Kashambuzi: 'Baganda have caused or contributed to most of Uganda problems
Eric Kashambuzi ( Dec 28, 2018):
'Baganda have caused or contributed to most of Uganda problems
1. In collaboration with Arabs they killed many people looking for slaves
2. In collaboration with the British they helped the colonization of Uganda and killed many Banyoro and were rewarded with large chunks of Bunyoro land and people.
3. Baganda were used to administer colonized Ugandans whom they exploited. Read Paul Ngorogoza book The People of Kigezi for details.
4. Baganda rejected their man Ben Kiwanuka and crowned Obote who vehemently opposed the monarchy.
5. Baganda facilitated the 1971 coup and gave us Amin who murdered or facilitated the murder of up to 500,000 Ugandans
6. Baganda abandoned Andrew Kayiira and gave us Museveni. Baganda still support Museveni and his team to this day.
So who is responsible for the suffering of Ugandans? Without a doubt it is Baganda. They should stop blaming Langi, Acholi and Westerners. They have the principle responsibility. They should blame themselves and compensate the rest of Ugandans.''
'Baganda need to realize that we are in the 21st century and not 20th when British administration favored them and the rest were exploited to benefit Baganda.'
Ndagire Muzuukulu Wa Gabunga:
The purpose of the vile lies:
1. To prevent cooperation between the different nationalities and Baganda required to solve Uganda's problem.
2. To deny the the genuine suffering of Baganda in 'Uganda' and atrocities carried out on Baganda since 1966 when the Lubiri was attacked by Obote
3. By using Baganda as a scapegoat of 'Uganda's' predicament he ensures that the ongoing genocide against Baganda can be ignored as well as justified.
Stand warned, you will be held to account for your contribution towards the ongoing genocide of Baganda, Mr Kashambuzi.
-----------------
It is very common in literature written by European colonizers to exaggerate the part/ willingness/assistance of the African victims to the European's inhuman mission of bringing the African continent and her people under European rule. Unfortunately, this narrative has been adopted by some of our own black brothers and sisters who seem to lack a proper understanding of the colonisation of our continent. It is therefore up to the rest of us to look at the evidence and come up with logical conclusions with regard to what happened to us, Africans (for our purpose, people in 'Uganda') in order to solve our problem.
Today, we know that the planning of colonising Africa took place in Berlin, Germany. How then, can we continue to attribute the consequences of the European invasion which was so carefully planned and turned our way of life upside down on the victims, the Africans, us?
Again, you owe to take some time to understand fully the history and process of the colonisation of the African continent, Mr Kashambuzi. It is very important that you understand who made the decision to colonise the whole of Africa and how this process was handled before you blame the victim. I am sorry to inform you, but, Baganda like the rest of the African people were and are victims of racism white supremacy.
Second, on the issue of Bunyoro and Buganda, Professor Lunyiigo has helped to throw some light on it for us:
'One of the other intriguing episodes in Prof. Lunyiigo's book is about the alleged 'traditional enmity' between Buganda and Bunyoro. During the imposition of colonial rule, Omukama Kabalega of Bunyoro had a large army, and so did Mwanga II of Buganda. Both armies recruited fighters from various parts of Uganda into their ranks, deployed them separately against the colonial army but never confronted their common enemy as a joint force.
"That was an important lost opportunity", the Professor stated at the launch of the book. "Because if the two armies had fought as a combined force they would have defeated the colonialists and enabled Kabalega and Mwanga to create one Uganda". Eventually, Kabalega and Mwanga II were defeated, captured in Lango and sent into exile, first at Kismayu in Somalia, and later in the Seychelles where Mwanga died.
Lunyiigo explained that despite their failure to form a combined army, the two leaders collaborated in resisting colonial rule. That, among other things, shows that the much hyped 'enmity' between Bunyoro and Buganda is a 'myth', he added.'

On the true root cause of 'Uganda's' predicament, I state it again:
We can analyze the problems starting from so- called independence all we want, but that will not lead us to any constructive solution because the real problem is the forced union of nations within Uganda. People have to want to be together for any relationship to work; something missing in "Uganda" as is evident with the display of hostility, distrust and blame among nations. The 15 legitimate nations within Uganda which was formed by the British colonizers have to come together and decide a way forward.
In order to solve any problem, the cause or root cause must be identified. We all know very well, yourself included Mr Kashambuzi, that the problem of "Uganda" is the forced union of nations by the British. A union put together for their benefit and not the people of "Uganda".
I have talked about this several times here. I have taken the position that unless we go back and examine the British colonizers's purpose for pushing people of different nationalities, languages, cultures and histories into an undesired union, people who were in the first place happy to run their own affairs in their own individual nations, we will continue to go round in circles. We will never solve this thing called " tribalism" which our colonizers taught us to call each other any time we fail to agree or whenever we express love for our individual identities in "Uganda"- something that has hindered any chance of forming meaningful relationships to run a country.
