Well by all evidence based on accomplishments Melania doesn't come out very well.
Michelle Obama grew up in a lower middle class black American household living in an upstairs apartment with a disabled father. She was a hardworking kid who excelled at school, honor student graduated at the top of her high school class at a high school that only accepted the best students in Chicago, went to Princeton, graduated cum laude, went to one of the to Law Schools in the country became a successful lawyer. Obviously a smart and disciplined person who had the intelligence to take advantage of every opportunity she was offered.
Melania grew up in an upper middle class household in Slovenia by all information graduated from high school, enrolled in college and dropped out in less than a year. Became a model, there are intelligent models and not intelligent models by all evidence she seemed to have come in closer to the lower end on that. She married a guy, for whatever reason, and has essentially done little since then that would indicate any level of intelligence. She says little, seemingly has no opinions that disagree with her husband's, not common in any marriage. Her primary job seems to be standing around looking decorative allowing her elderly husband to have some arm candy. She does seemingly have one talent she is fluent in several languages, the schools in Slovenia taught languages young when children pick them up easily ( something US schools might want to emulate).
Based on sheer intelligence as well as sustained effort Michelle Obama comes out miles ahead. Melania may be intelligent but she has made little effort to indicate that.
Melania Trump must be much more cunning than Michelle Obama. An impoverished daughter of Slovenian Communists, she has married a man of advanced years who is, even despite his misrepresentations, one of the wealthier people in the United States. Michelle Obama married a young community organizer, a minority at that, who was once one of her employees. Considering her great educational accomplishments, she under-performed in the marriage market.
Melania used her high-cheekboned beauty to accomplish something that no Slovenian has ever dreamed of — becoming the wife of an American billionaire who subsequently became the President of the greatest country in the world. Michelle sacrificed her intelligence for love with a man who was essentially an adjunct professor, community organizer, and small time politician.
For pure survivalist intelligence, Melania wins this duel. And she also knew enough to plagiarize from a very scholarly person when delivering the single speech that will be her legacy. That is pure genius.
