{UAH} Prof Apollo Nsibambi's death shocks and upsets many Ugandans!

The news announcing Prof Apollo Nsibambi's untimely death has been received with very deep sorrow among very many Ugandans both inside and outside the country!
True, Uganda loses someone who has always tried to walk on a correct path in spite of the challenges in his lane. Nsibambi has generally been an exemplary personality and a point of good reference to many. It's very sad to see him disappear at a time when his counsel and his wisdom were among the many things his fellow citizens were expecting from him in particular at this very crucial moment when the country is speeding towards 2019.....
I personally first came in contact with this academician when I joined Makerere University in 1969, almost right from Luzira Upper Prison where I was a political detainee for two years. I was offered a place in New Hall (now Nkrumah Hall) and Mr Nsibambi was the Acting Warden of the Hall and at the same time he was part-time lecturer in the department of political science. He was later promoted to full Warden and full Lecturer by Mr Kalimuzo who had been appointed Vice-Chancellor. Nsibambi helped me in many things. Himself and Cardinal Wamala who was the Catholic Chaplain at Makerere at that time are two great names which I just can't forget! They really saved me from many dangers and they helped me to fully integrate within the student body! In appreciation I never let them down in everything! I found the two men very intelligent and had maturity and great wisdom! That's why they became very great figures in our land! And in my prayers, I have always thanked God for having promoted them to such greatness! Greatness is the true word! Look now at the very global reaction, from across the divide, Ugandans are all expressing to mark their sadness and profound sorrow on learning this very bad news! Nsibambi is gone, may the Almighty God's name be praised and blessed for having given to the country such a good Premier, such a good university chancellor, such a good academician of high quality intellectual standing, such a fatherly statesman who never harmed anybody in words and deeds and was an example of perfect integrity and cleanliness in his doings. It's always very sad to lose such impeccable elders of a remarkable distinction thanks to their achievement. in practically every individual field!
May the Almighty Good God bless Prof Apollo Nsibambi's soul and reward him so abundantly in His Heavenly Glory!
