A war of words between Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and lawyer Miguna Miguna excited netizens on Saturday.

It all started when Miguna asserted that the controversial legislator had realized that no one should be persecuted for exercising their freedom of speech.

In response, Kuria sarcastically explained that he was also ready to be sworn in by the "notary public and a commissioner of oaths" like ODM Party Leader Raila Odinga.

Miguna fired back and told the Gatundu South MP that his knowledge and understanding was nowhere close to his.

"Mafia chauvinist Kuria: it will take you five lifetimes and five new brains to become a barrister, solicitor, advocate, commissioner for oaths and notary public.

It's normal for a colonized mind to delude itself that a primitive orangutan is superior to a global professional," he stated.

Kuria wasn't too amused that Miguna had referred to him as an orangutan. He mistook it for a Luo word.

"Let's restrict this to English. It's pointless to insult me in Dholuo when you know I do not understand the language. What is orangutang?" he posed.

At this point, Miguna decided to inform Kuria that an orangutan was an English word, adding that the legislator indulges in unimportant things in his free time instead of learning the Queen's language.
