{UAH} Makerere drops to 16th position in Africa University rankings
Tony Owana/ Ingram Kampe/ Ahmed Katerregga,
Not so long ago, Makerere University used to flex its muscles with the big boys of academia in Europe and America. Today, it would be the biggest mis-match to put Makerere into the ring with even the minnows of Africa, to borrow boxing lexicology. It would get a thorough beating.
Makerere qualifications are now not worth the paper they are printed on as outside of Uganda, nobody recognises them.
34 years of mis-rule and neglect by a corrupt and uncaring feral regime can make a lot of difference in the educational health and standing of a nation. In the case of Uganda, it has brought it crumbling down to its knees. A once highly educated nation is now one of the most illiterate and ignorant on earth. Students go to the ramshackled primary schools and come out worse than when they enrolled.
The uneducated Rwandan fart Kayibanda Museveni, himself a university drop-out, has no interest in Education. You don't need a good degree to know how to shoot a gun or to steal public money. All you need is your wits around you, and a long tongue to lick Kayibanda's arse or his wife Kataha's fanny.
