{UAH} Jihadi Jack

The UK Home Secretary the Ugandan Priti Patel has just stripped your boy Jack Letts, best known as Jihadi Jack, of his UK citizenship. 

24 year old  Jack  Letts held dual UK-Canadian nationalities. He converted to Islam as a teenager, shortly after which he joined the Isis campaign of murder and terror in Syria, serving as enforcer or Executioner in its self declared Islamic Caliphate. Jihadi Jack is suspected of having beheaded 39 innocent victims, making him the worst mass murderer in Canadian history. 

For the past 3 years, Jihadi Jack has been in the custody of Kurdish RPG forces, to whom he surrendered when the Islamic Caliphate began to crumble. 

He is also a subject of an extradition request from the USA government to stand trial for the murder by beheading of an unspecified number of American citizens. 

Taking a very hard and uncompromising stand, Ms Patel said Jihadi Jack is now purely the responsibility of Canada and Canada must take this responsibility towards its citizens seriously. 

Ms Patel said any extradition proceedings by the USA government must now be directed to Canada as the UK will have nothing to do with the Muslim convert going forward. 

Jihadi Jack's parents  John and Sarah Letts recently stood trial at the Old Bailey in London and were convicted of the offences of aiding and abetting terror  and of funding  the terrorist activities of their son. In sentencing, the court however took into account the suffering both parents have been through, and the fact that the father Jonn Letts suffered a mental breakdown. The court gave the pair only a suspended sentence, which means they will not serve time in jail unless they break their bail conditions.

This drastic action by the UK government towards a long term ally, should serve as a wake up call to Canada, and especially its baby faced Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, that it must take its responsibility towards its citizens seriously, especially when they engage in terrorist activity. 

Canada is the only western nation which has refused to take firm action against Islamic terrorism as its premier Trudeau prefers to roll out the red carpet for returning jihadists. 

How Trudeau handles his citizen Jihadi Jack and his parents John and Sarah will be a severe test of Canada's commitment to the fight to free the world of Islamic terror while corterminously demonstrating 

compassion in how it effectively supports it citizens affected by Islamic terror. John and Sarah have never had the benefit of Canadian consular support. They are in fact being supported by the local Christian community in Cambridge where they owned a farm they have now  abandoned because of threats from right wing neofascist groups. Canada must do the right thing for these parents, despite the fact that they failed in their parenting responsibility.
