{UAH} The pointlessness of attacking Bobi Wine and the Opposition on Ziggy Wayne's death!
Ziggy Wine's death or murder as put it is still a very controversial issue due to
-- the many loopholes involved in any official explanation carried out. The police statement
has very miserably failed to convince much of the nation and its diaspora on the exactness
and real true circumstances surrounding the young man's death, a disparition which has
brought deep sorrow, worry, and special concern among all Ugandan communities all over the world! Ziggy Wayne's death occurs at the very time when kidnappings, disparitions, murders, bijambiya (pangas) operation, and brutal aggression by the security forces are now
a real chapter being written in our nation's history. And, as if to side with innocence, the NRM regime is trying to deny anyone of these very silly happenings. And they are using the police to try to convince the population on all this. And at the same time they are orchestering noise to throw every bit of rubbish regarding this matter on Bobi Wine and the opposition. I8n this very shallow and unconvincing propaganda they are being joined by a couple of semi-artificial minds to enlist some pale support. but the nation is fully awake and won't be fooled!
To say that Bobi Wine is lying on Ziggy Wayne? No, he isn't! he is enclosed in the context of the untold truth as it has always appeared since Kasese, Lusanja, the many unaccounted for murders, the illtreatment of fellow citizens who have lost everything through grabbing, corruption, embezzlement, and irresponsible programming! All these are part of an explanation leading to understanding Ziggy Wayne's plight and demise! That's why the police, acting on behalf of the regime has insufficient stuff to convince a very intelligent nation. Even the very humble people of far-away Mitooma in Bushenyi, Wayne lies now burried couldn't be fooled on this. Bobi Wine has cause to speak out and loudly as he has done in Parliament when confronting Ruhakana Rugunda on these murders. And the shaken premier had nothing much to say except to promise action that will bear bad consequences to those concerned! The majority of the kidnappings, etc.. now touch People Power supporters. And bobi Wine is coming to the front to seek the truth on this. His supporters can't disappear like that without himself engaging a much spirited fight for them and for his movement. And he's a person who has personally been victim of this brutal treatment! It's not sensible to call him a liar when he's officially seeking the truth in these openly very bad situations. He's doing the right thing just as much of the Opposition is doing!
Now, can the official formal statements issued by the police be trusted and judged sincerely acceptable? Do they hold any sense or meaning given the circumstances in which they have been issued or published? Do they have sufficent weight to convince anyone that Wayne was victim of a motor-cycle accident? And are they in line with the events as they have been unfolding since Wayne was reported missing? And are they a genuine conclusion that lies on a track-mark quite traceable right from the day police got informed of the matter? And can the police stand up so openly and show the points they have on this death? And on which spot did the said accident take place? The one which the police mentions but where theere was no any trace of blood or just another one a bit far away? And the woman (a teacher now widely paraded by the police) who was reportedly knocked down by Wayne's speeding motor-cycle appears to have received no injuries, and not a wound or a scar to show, however she was knocked down by a speeding motor-cycle!! The knocked one got out uninjured and unscathed while the motor-cyclist lost an eye, had two fingers terribly damaged but still hanging on his palm ( but after his death the body lost the two fingers which are untraceable! ) and is now dead and burried! And another question is again about Wayne who was dressed in a pair of trousers (and not in shorts) how did he get so seriously burnt all along the leg when the trousers remained almost intact with no trace of any burning? And about the motor-cycle, two versions and two different motor-cycles, one is blue and the other is black! Which is which when each one of them was reported to have been the only right one involved in the accident?
Faced with such contradiction the police is now in a weak position to convice much of the public! It's being manipulated, as usual, by some circles who feel the nationa police is their personal property! The police can't think, judge, and act independently because it belongs to someone somewhere.
In any case, it's illogical under these circumstances to utter any kind of rubbish towards Bobi Wine or any other personality of the Opposition. These attacks appear now to glide to other trends when they take to a pure tribal dimension, somehow. Someone who was dissatisfied with Bobi Wine's protests and stand on this Wayne question wrote an article in the Monitor which was eventually brought to the attention of UAH by Prof Okello, I think. The author gave a lot of argument around his article titled:
Muganda politician ( not person ) can never become President of Uganda.
I pity this person because the motives of his argument stemmed from one concrete thing, and that's the way he was displeased with Bobi Wine's attitude towards the official statement on Ziggy Wayne's death by the police. In any case any Ugandan politician, no matter the tribe, religion, social status can become President of Uganda if he enjoys the support and confidence of the population. Ugandans, proud of every inch of their land, will never reject any politician on the basis of his tribe, religion, etc.. G.H.K.
