That Time The Obama Admin Asked Ukraine For Help To Win The 2016 Election

(Tea Party PAC) – Can you imagine if we had an actually fair media, how much more the average person would know about the activities of the Obama administration?

On Thursday, former federal prosecutor Andrew C. McCarthy noted over at National Review that, in 2016, the Obama administration asked Ukraine to investigate Donald Trump’s campaign manager, Paul Manafort.

Yup.

McCarthy pointed out the glaring double standard of Democrats who want to impeach Trump for what they claim was exactly what Obama actually did, and not only that, but what would form the basis for the whole Trump-Russia collusion hoax, which they assured us was necessary to protect our national security.

House Intelligence Committee chair Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA) told NBC News in March that his investigation into Trump was tackling “a present threat to our national security — whether the president and anybody around him are compromised by a foreign power.”

Where the hell was he during the Obama years?!

This is the narrative Democrats are using to defend the way Obama weaponized his intelligence and law enforcement agencies to literally spy on the opposing party’s candidate in 2016.

McCarthy says that “the Obama administration’s law-enforcement agencies pressured their Ukrainian counterparts to revive a dormant corruption investigation of Paul Manafort” right in the middle of the 2016 election.

He references his recent book, Ball of Collusion: The Plot to Rig an Election and Destroy a Presidency, which details how the Obama officials urged Ukrainian prosecutors to investigate Manafort, which was, essentially, “effectively meddling in the American presidential election.”

Well. we all know what happened next: leaks about Manafort’s activities in Ukraine began to appear in the American media, naturally, spun in just the manner the Democrats likely hoped. He was replaced at the Trump campaign and would become a target in the hoax “collusion” narrative.

“When the Obama administration leans on Ukraine for help in an investigation of political opponents, the Democrats and the media say, “But look how corrupt Paul Manafort was!” When the Trump administration leans on Ukraine for help in an investigation of political opponents, the Democrats and the media say, “Abuse of power — impeach him!” McCarthy writes.

While there is actual evidence that former Vice President Joe Biden extorted the Ukrainian government, while Trump has been completely transparent about his communication with his Ukrainian counterpart, which, clearly, has no evidence of wrongdoing.

Maybe it’s time we get a more transparent look at the Obama administration?
