We don't want Kayihura in Europe too, says EU envoy

The head of the European Union Delegation to Uganda, ambassador Attilio Pacifici, says he sees "logic and principle" in the visa and economic sanctions imposed against former Uganda Police Force boss Gen Kale Kayihura.

The EU ambassador says even Uganda had itself slapped charges against Kayihura, which gives credence to the US sanctions and the European Union would have equally acted the same there is evidence at the disposal of the US.

If US sanctions you then who am I to say no? We don't welcome criminals in Europe too because Europe is not a safe haven for fugitives.
