{UAH} BOBI WINE HAS NO INTELLECTUAL COMPASS TO LEAD AND STEER UGANDA AS PRESIDENT.HOWEVER, HE IS A GOOD MAN, CELEBRITY AND CAN CONTRIBUTE TO CHANGE IN OTHER CAPACITIES.

I am Tom Voltaire Okwalinga and the opinion contained here is mine and mine alone.
I have followed and participated in the Ugandan political debate for over a decade, and the issues I shall raise in this post are grounded on a well informed background and I shall be very precise, candid and brief .
The person of Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is a good man and an upright citizen in many ways, and a big celebrity who has had alot of fans in his adult life due to his music, and the argument I am about to make does not focus on his earlier lifestyle or current one but it is an argument based on what it requires to be a president of a country like Uganda in this 21st century.
THE BASIC MINIMUM OF SERVING AS PRESIDENT
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have watched closely Bobi Wine in the last 2 years since he joined active politics, and I have seen him talk, seen his actions in public, and even had the chance of looking at his entire CV, and I agree that he got massive support for his seat of Kyadondo East, and I did not have any doubt that he was going to be a fiery parliamentarian. After seeing the massive support he got from Kyadondo, Bobi Wine at the advice of many opportunistic politicians , decided he could eye the highest office in the land as president. On the surface he has the right to have that ambition jut like any other Ugandan, but as time went by, it became cleat that ambition and being qualified for this office, are totally different issues. Bobi Wne on many occasion displayed the level of ignorance on matters of state, that clearly projected him as someone who was well below the minimum level of a person who would be handed over the state machinery of a country that has suffered so much in the last decades.
The running of a state is not based on populist rhetoric but based on knowledge, for a state is a very delicate establishment that handles many complex issues like the economy, the armed forces, the separation of powers, the judiciary, democratic dispensation, healing the political divide, international relations and many more other important matters of state. The Bobi Wine that I know and whom the whole country knows, is unequipped to handle these matters, and as fountain of honour and commander-in-chief, he must be a person who has the intellectual capacity and knowledgeable enough, who can make decisions that are crucial for the running of the state.
I understand the frustration that most people of Uganda have from the Museveni misrule, but the medicine to that frustration is to have change that will bring leadership, that is ready on day one to tackle the affairs of state, and be able to quickly bring order in governance and meet the expectations of the people.Ugandan opposition has several leaders who would provide such leadership, and Bobi Wine would play a big role in mobilizing his fans and supporters to be part of this fight for change, and he does not need to target only on being president. After change is realized, Bobi Wine would get a role in the new government and gain more knowledge in how government ans state institutions work, and may be after some years he could try to run for a bigger office.
The continued talk of Bobi WIne presidency is one of the biggest mistakes of our time and it only serves to pose a possiblity of keeping Museveni around for some more years.Bobi Wine should refuse the meal card seekers , the likes of Latif Ssebagala,Mathias Mpuuga AND MANY OTHERS, WHO ARE ONLY USING HIM FOR THEIR POLITICAL AMBITIONS, WHILE IN PRIVATE THEY KNOW , HE DOES NOT HAVE THE CAPACITY OF HOLDING THE HIGHEST OFFICE IN THE LAND.THEY JUST WANT TO CLIMB ON HIS CELEBRITY STATUS ESPECIALLY IN CENTRAL.
I SAY ALL THIS FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY.
