Mw MUJABI 1966 WAS NOT JUST BUGANDA ALONE,
FIRST, things first, I do not disagree with your assertion please. But for your information I request you to know that I have written and discussed the anomalies of the 1966 political circuses at lengths in many Ugandan forums and outside. I made it very clear that both OBOTE and MUTEESA were at faults due to their sophomore periods and inexperience in public administrations.
Yeah, both were young men who were just treating their own egos than thinking about a long term political project in what an Acoli Luo parable talk of; 'Pito Nyig Cwa onyo Kituba mape gin twero bedo itipu mere' meaning planting the seeds of big trees under which an individual could not sit under its shadow.
SECOND, it has been a bitter truth that both MUTEESA and OBOTE made a short term plan when they form the politics of just blocking BEN Kiwanuka and his DP party towards the independence of our country Uganda. I am hereby meaning the formation of KY and UPC alliance towards the Lancaster House Agreement towards the Independence of Uganda.
TRULY, if they could make such sort term political journey between KY and UPC why could they failed to build a political constellation, conscious and consensus with humane arrangement on regards to the touching issues concerning the issues of Bunyoro Kitara and Buganda Kingdom? I am meaning the very contentious issues on the Lost Counties which itself a political time bomb left purposely by the British Colonialism.
Clearly, I think such short-sightedness politics between both the late OBOTE and Kabaka MUTEESA, had been some sorts of 'politricks' which gave Uganda the very brutal political arrangement that exploded with dire consequences on our people that I hope we can both agree on it Mw MUJABI.
That politics brought the very dire political chaos for the whole Ugandans but, as they say, the rest is history let us, hope Ugandans would produce some dynamic citizens with strong political wills to correct such malaise as the way forwards for peaceful coexistence with HOPES without FEAR!
LASTLY, let us agree to disagree, but think for the futures of our great-grandchildren because they deserve better than our own tumultuous past since independence and, or towards it from colonial Britain as the way forward! I hope you can agree with me so we can plan the seeds of the big tree parable.
This means, the1966 political crisis was not a Baganda affairs but it affected the whole Ugandan folks. For example, the blood brother of my father was killed at the Mengo Palace of Kabaka MUTEESA during the time when AMIN stormed the Palace since he was a Palace guard at the time!
