Hunter Biden Scandal Reaches A Whole New Level, Here’s Who And What Else Was Involved

In the course of recent increased scrutiny over Hunter Biden’s business dealings in the Ukraine and China, President Trump’s personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, has teased that more details about Biden’s Romania scandal would be surfacing.

Well, the time has come.

In 2016, the last year of the Obama Administration, Hunter Biden traveled to Romanian to meet with a suspiciously shady real estate tycoon who had been accused of orchestrating a corrupt land deal.

Gabriel “Puiu” Popoviciu, a Romanian businessman and wealthy real estate mogul, brought Hunter Biden in to be his lawyer, according to a new report from NBC News.

The outlet reports that Popoviciu became the target of a criminal investigation back in 2005, when another businessman filed a complaint against him as well as the rector of a Romanian University for a deal involving a plot of land near Bucharest.

Popoviciu had reportedly bought the land for “significantly less money than it was actually worth” according to the complaint, and it was alleged that the land was actually owned by the Romanian government, not the University of Agronomy.

Popoviciu was charged and convicted of bribery in 2016 and it was when he filed an appeal that Hunter Biden, the son of the then-US Vice President, was brought on as legal counsel.

Totally not suspicious at all, right? SMH.

Between 2009 and 2016, by the way, in his capacity as VP, Joe Biden was very involved in Romania and had several ties to the country, including a close friend and former staffer, Mark Gitenstein, who was US Ambassador to Romania.

NBC News reported:

Hunter Biden’s work for Popoviciu in 2016 went unreported at the time, but Joe Biden’s involvement in Romania was very much public. The vice president was among the leading voices pushing the government to crack down on corruption.

There’s no evidence that Hunter or his father acted improperly or violated any laws. But the arrangement, government ethics experts say, raises concerns that Hunter Biden was used as a prop in Popoviciu’s effort to dodge criminal prosecution.

“We don’t know what [Hunter Biden] was paid or what he was paid for but it does raise questions of whether this Romanian individual facing criminal charges was actually paying for a connection to the American vice president,” said Kathleen Clark, a Washington University law professor who specializes in government ethics.

Romania was by then a familiar place to the Biden family. A close friend and former staffer of Joe Biden, Mark Gitenstein, held the position of U.S. ambassador to Romania from August 2009 to December 2012. In March 2012, Hunter’s brother, Beau, was asked to do the ribbon-cutting at the new U.S. embassy in Bucharest.

Vice President Biden visited Romania in 2014 and delivered a forceful speech against graft. “Corruption is a cancer, a cancer that eats away at a citizen’s faith in democracy,” he said. “Corruption is just another form of tyranny.”

Who honestly believes that the drug-addicted Navy reject Hunter Biden was chosen as this crooked man’s lawyer entirely on his own merit? Yeah, right.

At the time, of course, Hunter Biden was being paid, by some accounts, over $200,000 a month to sit on the board of the Ukranian natural gas company, Burisma Holdings, with even less qualifying credentials to do so than he had to represent crooked real estate tycoons in Romanian.

Hunter Biden also managed to secure a $1.5 million loan from the Bank of China, which is tied to the Chinese government, a near-possible feat for even the most experienced hedge fund managers.

Hunter Biden also secured a $1.5 billion loan from the Bank of China despite the fact that not even the best hedge fund managers are able to squeeze a penny from China. He’s just that brilliant.

The Democrats flipped the script and launched an impeachment inquiry against President Trump because he began looking into the Biden crime family.
