{UAH} MESSAGE TO BAGANDA Having a president as your kinsman is not enough to cure your misfortunes- Tweheyo Disan
Some sentimental advocates of people power who think inline with tribal inclination miss a point. Having a president as your kinsman is not enough to cure your misfortunes. Others associate number of ministers as a blessing. That is typical of people who don't take time to think through their assumptions.
Bushenyi has since Obote times not gone without a minister/s but today it has the biggest number of malnourished children. It was for a long time a model district; it still has a minister even when it was reduced to a county. What went wrong? I ask those who associate politics with wealth.
In America, Virginia and Ohio have produced the biggest number of American presidents but New jersey and Maryland are also richer than them. New York that is the richest has produced only four and California another giant two. So how will politics do miracles here?
I had a friend who told me that wealth is attained in three ways 1) through inheritance. 2) through hard work. 3) through luck. Like how the Baganda jokingly call "okulonda ekyaapa nga kili mumanyago." If you think politics can surpass these ways, I will be proven otherwise.
Some ignorantly innocent Baganda will tell you how they will take over the wealth Banyankore have scattered in Buganda. Uganda house still belongs to Obote foundation when Obote died over a decade ago and was bloodily overthrown very long ago. Indians are here claiming what belonged to them whether wrongly or rightly.
Some Baganda men love hanging out and pocketing while smart, speaking big when they are small. When Banyankore worked on Baganda plantations, they went with seeds and planted in ankore. You can never expect them to work for you again the same way they did.
Get out of illusion and work. Even if Bobi becomes president he will never put money in your pockets. I love Uganda that is why I can seem attacking a section of Ugandans but telling the truth.
Baganda abandoned their land giving grabbers a chance to get where to start, in connivance others have wrongly sold Buganda land. Keeping on with "one day...." Will not take anyone anywhere.
I advocate for change but I will not wait for until president Museveni goes to work coz my children are growing and I have to look after them. Govt can still change in your direction and find you unprepared. Any govt will seek to recruit people ready to work and qualified.
