{UAH} SHUT UP- MAKERERE STUDENTS TOLD BY RUBATASIRWA

Tony Owana/ Ahmed katerregga/ Ivan Kampe/ Edward Mo Irundrua,

The NRA Ten Point programme is surely a beacon of hope for the dark continent of Africa. See the extent to which you have now elevated higher education in our country. I must say, I am very unfortunate to have missed out on the NRA revolution in Education. Back then, my father paid schools fees for my primary education, but that is where it ended as far as school fees was concerned. For secondary school, I was a beneficiary of a scholarship that my district awarded to its 5 best pupils at PLE exams. A'Levels was then free, and so was Makerere University and the Law Development Centre. In fact both the Makerere University and Law Development Centre had the cheek of giving personal allowances- called BOOM at the time- the equivalent of $150 dollars per student per annum . The Ugandan taxpayer made sure that education was as painless as possible to the parents, a majority of whom were, and still are very poor. I subsequently completed post-graduate training, also courtesy of Graduate scholarships by the British government and the Government of the Soviet Union, so I am basically educated by the taxpayers of Uganda, the UK and the USSR.

I wish I could roll back the years so that the current batch of students would undergo the misfortune I had to endure. I am sure most would willingly choose the pain of $150 pa Boom rather than the bullets and kibokos of Rubatasirwa's thugs. As it is, they are stuck with your Ten Point programme and your revolution in Uganda's education.

Rubatasirwa is in a hurry to get Uganda to the Middle Income status ( Average Income $16,000 pa) by 20/20, ie in less than 4 months time, so the students must just buckle their belts and  shut up. They must carry on with their revolutionary tasks and ensure the 50 year Tutsi Plan is accomplished.

Under Rubatasirwa Kayibanda's corrupt and heartless regime, Uganda is trapped in despair and hopelessness. Its pulverised and abused people have nowhere to run and nowhere to hide. The country has been turned into  a den of  blood-sucking felon, its students unwilling donors, forced to waste a fortune on useless degrees that are no longer recognised anywhere else in the world.

God, Why Was I Born A Ugandan?
