Now that Bwanika wants us to take our hard earned money into the shit-hole where it will never come back, here is a good information if you live in this country. Many banks in this country do not want anyone to save, when did you actually see a line of interest on your bank statement last? Banks have become money storages where you dump the money in, they use it and you take it out when you want it.

 

If you have some moneys sitting in a bank, there is an investment vehicle in TD bank you need to check out. Go to any branch of TD bank, and ask for an investment agent, in some branches you have to make an appointment to the agent, in some you do not need an appointment, if you are in a good standing with the bank as I am, you can see an agent as soon you walk in.

 

I do not know your standing with the bank. It is wise to call the branch and make an appointment if you are not a bank regular. TD bank has branches in the States, I am not sure if they have this service but ask.

 

When you see that agent, ask him/her to open for you {A tax free savings account} This vehicle is ran by the bank with the backing of the Federal government. What controls it is how much you are putting in and how long you are leaving it in the bank. But I will tell you this, in all bank accounts you will open in this country, this is the only investment I have seen, that does two things, it guarantees your principle no matter how terrible are the markets, and you get a very reasonable interest on it. If you are not in the high 100,000’s but want to try to make an investment that you can have a control on, and your money is guaranteed by a bank, go to TD and open that account.

 

You can monitor on line how much you have gained, and you can pull out the money any  time you need to, but there is no charge to run it, and no tax paid to take the money out. Use this information to ask your own bank, it might have such vehicle as well, but I know that TD bank has it for it is my bank.
