{UAH} SAS soldier who saved hundreds by killing two terrorists is honoured by Queen

LONE BRITISH SAS HERO WHO TOOK ON MUSLIM TERRORISTS IN NAIROBI HOTEL SEIGE AWARDED TOP HONOUR.

An SAS trooper who shot dead two muslim terrorists in a hotel siege in Nairobi, Kenya in January 2019 is to receive a top bravery medal.

The soldier, who stalked the corridors of the DusitD2 hotel on a heroic lone mission inside the hotel, will be honoured with the Conspicuous Gallantry Cross — second only to a Victoria Cross.

In January 2019, Muslim terrorists attacked the Dusit2 Hotel and held hostage over 700 guests, visitors,customers and workers During the 19-hour siege at the hotel complex, the terrorists started executing their hostages, and there was fear that the number of fatalities would rise unless drastic action was taken. The SAS trooper is said to only have entered the battle when the terrorists continued to execute hostages, but the Kenyan special forces failed to dislodge them and US Navy SEALs in the area asked for his help.

Completely on his own, and armed with an automatic rifle, the SAS trooper entered the hotel, getting into a brutal encounter and firefight in which he eliminated two out of the four gunmen, leading to the evacuation of 700 HOSTAGES.

The medal is awarded for "acts of conspicuous gallantry during active operations against the enemy" - with only around 60 such honours being awarded.

The actions of the soldier in eliminating the heavily armed musllm terrorists is regarded as an incredible military achievement and will go down in the history of the SAS as one of their most improbable successes.

The elite soldier was training a Kenya army unit army when the attack took place.
