{UAH} Mathias Mpuuga attacks Mao

By Mathias Mpuuga

Mr Nobert Mao is approaching mid 50s, and like most young people who find themselves on the National Platform in their youthful years, early exhaustion is quite likely esp if you happen to be a circumstantial rider, devoid of enduring pursuits!!

His Weekly tirade yesterday centered on a group he prefers to use than work with; the Ganda politicians that have unceasingly questioned his flimsy leadership!! He sounded exhausted, and seemed no one close enough to hazard a resuscitation to his waning summoning powers!!

I am sure Mr Mao has some close friends, or quite likely that he never takes advice like most social climbers! His mission of being the anti- Ganda high priest is well observed and, we recognize his efforts!!

What perhaps no one has educated him about the current crop, is that we are the grandchildren of that Ganda generation that would coil at any provocation and insult! We belong to a different generation; whatever rot learning he obtained my the Ganda- hate crusaders to which he is playing high priest, he best be advised that we are firm, we are different, we have interests, we don't suffer fools!

If Mr Mao comes from a background devoid of enduring interests, we shall not apologize! We owe him nothing! We are not responsible for his fragile record, the reason he is a lone player from his backyard!

You wonder why a man of his "skills" is a lone walker from his generation! There are times I observe individuals surrounding him at his weekly tirade, and genuinely feel sorry for him!

At his prompting as my leader, i headed the Amama Mbabazi campaign inauguration at Nakivubo, I was not a Kabaka Yekka that time!! Even when it was clearly risky to front Amama, we held fort with a visibly erratic party leader! He took us for his fools!!

No one needs Mao's support to win an election in Buganda! But some of us are products of organized Institutions, the very reason we stick with characters like him, whose absence would be more felt than presence, so that we can sustain the sanctity of the Institution that is DP!

Mr Mao, be advised that you don't know Buganda's interests and concerns, at least basing on what you continue to ignorantly spew! You need to unlearn and learn anew, it's not late!

He prefers to work with particular characters in Buganda that would rather boot lick him than question the wisdom in his erratic decisions!

Like M7, he settles for the politically wretched, for they need his patronizing approach to have a semblance of a political home!

And if he has friends, let him be advised to stick to what he knows! The global claim that he knows "very well" those who challenge his absentee leadership, will one day leave him with nothing to stand on, becoz surely some people have been around him for some time, but have the decency to spare him, in order to save pot-holed K'la of potential floods! Pls plz, advise him to stick to the issues!

Finally to whoever will reach him! When are party elections in Soroti, Mbarara, Kaberamaido, Arua, et al before his 100th round trip in one month to superintend over Parish elections in Masaka and Mukono!!

I am sure he will some day give way in some way! Ask him to allow himself space to find people ready to receive him when his horse finally rests!!
