WHAT IS SPEAKER KENNETH LUSAKA UP TO ?

Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka  was reported Tuesday ordering Senators above 58 years of age to operate from home due to coronavirus.

Sounds suspicious.

And why 58 years and above and not 57 years and above ? Speaker Lusaka was born  in 1963 and is this year 57. There is no difference per se between 57 and 58.

Sam Ongeri is the oldest senator in the  Senate. He's 82.

Speaker of the National Assembly Justin Muturi  was born in 1956 and is now 64.

President Uhuru is 59 and Deputy President Ruto is 54.

The man leading the war on Covid-19, CS Health Mutahi Kagwe, was born in 1958 and is 62.

Raila Odinga is 75. Kalonzo Musyoka 66, Musalia Mudavadi 58 and Moses Wetangula 63.

Among Ministers in the Government, there is total silence on the age or date of birth of Fred Matiangi, the CS Interior. But his PS, Karanja Kibicho, was born in 1967.

But CS Margaret Kobia is 62, James Macharia at Transport is 61, Amina Mohamed 58, Adan Mohamed 57, Keriako Tobiko 55, Ukur Yattani 53, and Najib Balala 52.

BBI Task Force is headed by men in their 70s and both are Senators. Chairman Yusuf Haji is 79 and Co-Chairman Amos Wako 73.

Senator James Orengo at 69 will have to work from home as per Speaker Lusaka's order.

Head of Civil Services Joseph Kinyua  is 67 and is yearning for retirement but Uhuru wont let him go.

The man in charge of our national strategic food reserves, Noah Wekesa, is 84 years old born in 1936.

Among governors:

Anyang Nyong'o is 74; James Ongwae 68; John Nyagarama 74;  Cornel Rasanga 62; Cyprian Awiti 67; Wycliffe Oparanya 64; Kiraitu Murungi 68; Charity Ngilu 68 and Kivutha Kibwana 65.

In the private sector:

Grainbulk Handling Ltd. Chairman Mohamed Jaffer is 71 and Naushad Merali of Sameer Group 69.

Peter Munga at Equity Bank is 77 and his  bank partner James Mwangi 58.

Does the Government seriously expect these luminaries to work from home ? How can Health CS Mutahi Kagwe who is 62 be absent from the Ministry and direct it from home ?

Some things are just impossible to enforce.
