{UAH} Being an MP is the most profitable investment in Uganda

The presidency aside, I think being an MP is the most profitable business in Uganda at the moment. According to Hon. Muhammad Nsereko, Mr.Museveni has promised to reward any NRM MP who returns shs. 20m with shs. 300m. That's a gross profit of shs. 280m. If you subtract the expenses involved like: getting your name on the list by bribing the presidential aides, secretaries,  e.t.c, then , roughly, you make a net profit of shs. 200m. No taxes involved, I presume. That's not bad, is it?

According to FDC 's Wafula Oguttu, "NRM MPs are  picking Shs 10m each to move and pass a motion today declaring Mr. Museveni as a hero of the war on Covid-19"
