{UAH} UNCERTANITY AS BOBI WINE REJECTS LATIF, CHAMELEON CALLING THEM TOP MOLES (CONSIDERS FRONTING JOEL)

News that Erias Lukwago was joining FDC to subsequently carry their flag as Presidential candidate created plenty of anxiety and took many by surprise. For many political strategists the possibility of Lukwago abandoning Lord Mayorship, for which even a toddler knows nobody can currently beat him, required immediate return on the drawing board to rethink the deployment of forces going into 2021. For Bobi Wine, Lukwago's rumored presidential bid meant many things including the fact that Jose Chameleon (a PP loyalist) growing his chances at becoming the next Lord Mayor for Kampala.

Bobi Wine wants one of these two to carry the NUP flag for Kampala Lord Mayorship in case Erias Lukwago doesn't seek reelection because he isn't comfortable with fellow musician Jose Chameleon who he thinks is a mole wanting to use the KCCA platform to access resources and overshadow him

Yet the irony is that a Chameleon win would be very bad news for the vindictive man from Magere because he naturally fears the possibility of him riding on his celebrity credentials to gradually overshadow him a Uganda's leading political celebrity. For the uninitiated, Chameleon is among those who picked and returned forms exhibiting interest in carrying the PP torch into the 2021 elections for the position of Lord Mayorship. The other is Seya Nasser Ntege Sebaggala. The implication is that the Mercy Walukamba Candidates Selection Committee must choose one of the two and given Seya's discredited political history, Chameleon naturally stands higher chances even when it's very unlikely he stands much chance against Lukwago (who this Wednesday morning has confirmed isn't relocating to Presidency).

Knowledgeable insiders say that even when Chameleon has repeatedly done all he can to exhibit extreme political loyalty to PP, Bobi Wine naturally hates and fears him well knowing the terrible competitor he can be in any arena. "For many years they competed musically and of the three [Chameleon, Bebe Cool & Bobi Wine], Chameleon emerged the winner in the long term and it's a very painful experience Bobi Wine fears to ponder happening in the political arena too. He knows that Chameleon, who has exactly similar music celebrity credentials just like him, can potentially use the Mayoral office to grow his political clout and eventually push him into political oblivion. He fears Chameleon can use the Mayoral platform to create visibility for himself, create key political/business networks and access fundraising opportunities and grow himself into material for Presidency, "says a source that knows Bobi Wine pretty well.

The source adds that Bobi Wine is privately beginning to overcome the utopia he has been living under that he can overcome Gen Museveni in the ballot box and be declared Uganda's next President (because of that ugly reality beginning to hit him hard; he is these days thinking long term as he prepares for a Besigye-like political marathon as opposed to fizzling out after the 2021 election event). "He is beginning to realize he can't defeat Museveni in his own elections and become President in 2021 and he is painfully reflecting on how to keep the momentum and remain politically relevant for the next five years without burning out. That is why he has evolved PP into a political party so that he can ride on those who become MPs on the NUP platform to be able to access money from IPOD and other resources to keep surviving for the next 5 years without burning out. the NUP party discipline is also important for him to continue exercising some authority and control over those getting elected under his endorsement." The source adds that: 'He painfully knows that as he heads into a very uncertain future after 2021 elections, Chameleon can become the thing as he serves as Lord Mayor, a position he can leverage on to grow his political brand and ultimately distinguish himself as the country's leading political celebrity. That is why Bobi Wine has always been nervous from the day Chameleon joined politics. In fact, he privately complained to some of us that this was a project by Mao's DP to overshadow and crowd him out of the country's politics."

The source says that all the above explains why Bobi Wine-led PP or even NUP can never front Chameleon as their flag bearer "because the Principal fears him more than even Museveni." That this is why the rumor that Lukwago was carrying the FDC flag for Presidency actually frightened Bobi Wine as opposed to exciting him. Not because Lukwago could create more momentum against Museveni than him but because the resultant vacuum would increase Chameleon's chances. "In fact the Principal, who has already directed the Walukamba committee on people to reject including Chameleon, had immediately reached out to his [politically very powerful brother] brother Fred Nyanzi to prepare someone else to for Mayorship.

"As long as it's Lukwago running for Mayorship, he [Bobi Wine] will be comfortable giving Chameleon the flag because he clearly can't defeat Lukwago. But the possibility of Lukwago not seeking reelection had prompted the Principal to ask Chairman Nyanzi to decide between Joel Senyonyi and Lubega Mukaku who to carry the PP flag for Mayorship and persuading Mukaku into the Lord Mayor trap kills many birds with one stone for Bobi's family. His sister Catherine Namuleme is a special friend of Rubaga South tycoon who has vowed to cause chaos should they deny him the flag.  So, making Mukaku mayoral candidate makes it easy for the Principal to direct the Mercy Walukamba committee to give the Rubaga South flag to Aloysius Mukasa who everybody fears to disappoint because he has heavily invested in PP," says an impeccable source that is thickly involved in Bobi's scheme of things. The source maintains that will become the official position (take away Mukaku so that Mukasa can breathe in Rubaga) as long as Lukwago abandons Mayorship. The source adds that Bobi Wine resents Chameleon just like he resents Latif Sebaggala who he perceives to be a 5^th columnist planted by the state. Kyagulanyi doesn't want to betray Mukaku either because, despite being financially broke, the man from Mawokota has always loyally been there for him just like rich man Aloysius Mukasa has been.

OTHER DEVTS

In a related development, even in Kawempe North Bobi Wine is determined to disappoint Shifrah Lukwago and Latif Sebaggala perceiving them to be politically inconsistent in favor of his political mobilization chief Suleiman Kidandala who actually earns a salary for daily joining Davis Lewis Rubagumya and Joel Senyonyi to sit at the Kamwokya headquarters. Impeccable sources say that the two politically very close brothers (Bobi & Nyanzi) have already signaled the Mercy Walukamba committee to give the Kawempe North flag to Suleiman Kidandala. Mohammed Segirinya, who Kyagulanyi publicly comes off as liking very much yet in actual sense he doesn't because he perceives him as a mole, will equally be left with nothing as no PP/NUP flag will be given to him.

Similar political frustration and disappointment awaits Kawempe South's Dr. Roy Semboga who will have to be sacrificed in favor of Kazibwe Bashir Mbaziira who Kyagulanyi fallaciously thinks has mob political clout (and name recognition) simply because he has been a political journalist hosting Tamale Mirundi on NBS TV and Ekirya Atabala program on state-owned Bukedde fm. The truth is some key people near Kyagulanyi have soiled Semboga by lying to the Principal that he is a 5^th columnist working for the state. There have been efforts to paint Senyonyi in the same way but Kyagulanyi trusts him too much and has so far refused buying into such rumors though most of his political secrets are these days strictly shared between him and Fred Nyanzi who he keeps telling "Chair I know who the moles are among us and I'm determined to keep using them just like they think they can use me for their own ends."

In his Kyaddondo East backyard, Bobi Wine is understood to be becoming more and moree inclined to favor controversial city lawyer Nkunyingi Muwadda who competed with him for the same Seat in the 2017 by-election. The Walukamba Committee has actually been prompted to rate Muwadda as the best to carry the flag against Apollo Kantinti and whoever the ruling party will front. Going for Muwadda will leave Khalid Ssimbwa and Tony Sempebwa fatally broken because they have financially and politically stood with Kyagulanyi longer than many of the allies he currently has. Yet that isn't all. The Muwadda endorsement will even more devastatingly break more other people including a political musician called Robert Mugenyi aka Zida. He was among the very first Kyaddondo East residents that bought into the Kyagulanyi MP bid. This was as soon as the High Court ruled against Kantinti. That was way before the matter was decided (in it's finality) by Court of Appeal. Zida had been politically active in Kyadondo East and new many opinion shapers and influencers of voting patterns there. He stared taking Kyagulanyi door to door to greet the local residents before even Court finally threw out Kantinti. "Zida was first introduced to Kyagulanyi as a very resourceful mobilizer by Patrick Cuthbert Kasule, a PA to Jose Chameleon and both of them are now disappointed to see Kyagulanyi using his proxies to stab the Chameleon Mayoral bid in the back," says a Kamwokya very knowledgeable insider.
