{UAH} Many Trump supporters claim Trump says things to fool the media or mess with the media, and apparently to also mess with most Americans. What is the point of doing that?

In her book, Mary Trump refers to a practice of her uncle Donald's that she herself was often the victim of. An example is, at a dinner party with Donald and some of his friends that she didn't know, Trump introduced her as his niece and claimed that she had a serious drug addiction problem even though he knew it wasn't true. He not only did not finally admit that it wasn't even remotely true but he continued his depiction of humorous incidents that were are result of her addiction. She was extremely embarrassed by the whole thing and glared at him in disapproval but he just winked at her and continued his elaborate charade.
Mary Trump, now a clinical psychologist, soon came to realize that she wasn't the only one he did this to and that he actually got some kind of perverse enjoyment out of doing it.
Think of this the next time you hear him berate one of his political foes!
