{UAH} Scare-mongering GOP Convention Ends With a Whimper

Folks;

President Trump and his acolytes have validated by fear that they will use racist tactics to scare the hell out of white people in suburbans to vote against Joe Biden.

The GOP went into their Convention fully aware that their own internal polling showed lukewarm support for the president among suburban voters in general, and white women in particular. So, they crafted their talking points around the idea that Joe Biden would be in cahoot with Black Lives Matter and Antifa, and destroy rural and suburban American way of life.

That's why speaker after speaker pushed to link Joe Biden to the ongoing riots in some cities around the country.

What I most disturbing in this narrative, is that these speakers are out to excuse the president of the United States from living up to a central part of his own oath, which is to protect and defend the country from enemies, both foreign and domestic.

Instead, they are asking voters to deny Joe Biden their votes because Joe will allow riots to go on unchallenged! So, why can't their president challenge the riots now?

As usual, the most eloquent speaker in the Trump family is Ivanka. And she did a superb job last night. Only trouble was, her father was next on the microphone! The contrast caused the president's dull speech to sound even duller. Unaccustomed to reading in public, Trump found it even more taxiing to read the teleprompter.

And he lost steam midway the 75-minute speech, sounding as if he had run out of breathe. And yet, he's the one who calls his opponent Sleepy Joe!

I can't predict who will come out the winner between Trump and Biden, but I can say with a degree of certainty that their age difference won't be noticed, even though Trump asks voters to notice it.
