{UAH} Yes, academic documents can be cancelled

Academic Documents issued are prima facie proof of the truthfulness of their content but it does not mean that they cannot be impeached and canceled. Academic qualifications can be recalled. Haven't you seen certificates of tile, log books etc being cancelled?
