{UAH} Verbal warning shots from our Super General.

Verbal warning shots from our Super General.
The Security Minister and Bush war historical Gen. Elly Tumwiine has expressed his discontent with the 'soft approach' and 'unnecessary kindness' armed forces are using while handling supporters of the National Unity Platform party president Kyagulanyi Ssentamu Robert alias Bobi Wine. According to Gen. Tumwiine, any civilian who provokes armed forces must be condemned with force.

Speaking to the media this Friday morning, Gen. Tumwiine rallied the police and military to be more repressive and use some of the weapons they have in possession. "We gave you the guns to kill those protesters. When someone throws a stone at you during a protest, shoot him back. If he dies it's up to him," Gen. Tumwiine said. "When I went to the Bush I lost my eye and didn't blame anyone because I took myself there and nobody had invited me. So if you lose something in war, don't blame anyone," he added as he urged Bobi Wine supporters to take caution.

Human Rights activists have however condemned Gen. Tumwiine's remarks as they stress that this would promote and escalate more excess use of force and yet the general elections are approaching. Livingstone Ssewanyana says it is absolutely absurd for the Security Minister to endorse aggravated violence by men in uniform. "There should not be any excess use of force in this election season," Ssewanaya says. "We will keep monitoring the men in uniform who abuse rights of peaceful Ugandans," he adds.
Gen. Tumwiine's endorsement for violence comes just days after the Uganda Police Force is struggling to clean its dirty image following the unprecedented attack on the Buganda cultural function. Gen. Tumwiine says even that apology was unnecessary for the police leadership to make.
