Walmart has temporarily removed all guns and ammunition from the shelves of stores across the U.S. ahead of potential 'civil unrest' following the election. The company says it's making the move out of an abundance of caution to curb the theft of firearms and related products due to 'the current unrest in isolated areas of the country.'
At this time, customers will still be able to purchase these items upon request. The company has not decided how long the products will remain off the sales floor.
Walmart had previously pulled guns & ammo displays from U.S. stores due to the civil unrest in the summer of 2020, following the killing of George Floyd.
