{UAH} ELECTION VIOLENCE HAS BEEN WITH US SINCE 1996

On 15th February 2016, Dr Kiiza Besigye was slated to hold a rally in Makerere University. Wandegeya and the surrounding areas were a bee hive of activity as his excited supporters waited in anticipation.The rally never took place, police moved to stop it, one supporter was shot and killed at Wandegeya market by men in uniform and many others injured.
Numerous examples can be pointed out for all the elections we have had in this country since 1996, all these have been against a man whose sole reason for staging a 5 year war that claimed thousands of lives was unfairness and electoral malpractice.
What then is the point in always escorting a man to a sham exercise that only helps legitimise his next term??
