{UAH} Lawyer Opiyo Speaks Out On Seeking Refugee Asylum In US And Mobilising Support For Bobi Wine…

The Executive Director of Chapter Four Uganda, a Non-Government Organisation, Mr. Nicholas Opiyo has refuted allegations that he is planning to flee to the United States.

There were allegations recently that Opiyo, Barbie Kyagulanyi and all her children have already received refugee status from the US embassy in Kampala. Kampala Post online further alleged that Barbie wants to seek refugee status in the US after getting information that Uganda is going to be chaotic following defiance uprising caused by the opposition politicians.

The media outlet also alleged that Opio is going to coordinate international media and handle Public Relations duties for NUP overseas since he has been NUP's key resources mobilizer.

However, when theGrapevine contacted Opiyo, the soft spoken lawyer rubbished the allegations, "The story is utter nonsense" he said.

He insisted that he is going to investigate the matter and find out the interests behind its publication.
