{UAH} CHANGING THE CONSTITUTION: UGANDAN MP'S FACE THE CONSEQUENCES 3 YEARS LATER.

I led a social media campaign against Age limit impunity for raping the Constitution, I knew that an even bigger impact was possible if all political party leaders, activists and civil society had been pro-actively engaged in a well coordinated campaign to fight for better governance practices and respect for Constitutionalism. A few leaders provided lukewarm action now and then in their speeches but nothing as substantive as a targeted national political effort. Surprisingly, it is the NRM party primaries itself that said no to the vast majority of the MP's that were ultimately kicked out. Thanks to God, this result is still very significant. It will remain edged in history as the day when Ugandans themselves peacefully said to all their leaders that there are now serious consequences from voters when you connive against the will of the people.

Rest in Peace Edwin Kusaasira who lost his life protesting against the changing of the constitution.
