{UAH} Missing Bunyangabu Man Found Dead in Stream

A 40-year-old man who went missing for more than one week in Bunyangabu district has been found dead.

Fred Kiiza, a casual labourer and a resident of Nsagasa B cell in Nyakigumba Town Council, went missing on February 5 this year.

According to his wife, Joyce Kokusiima, he left home for work but never returned and efforts to search for him never yielded results.Kokusiima says she went ahead and announced his disappearance on radio and called upon whoever sees him to inform her. But this move was fruitless.

It wasn't until Saturday afternoon, eight days later, that his body was found in a stream in Itojo cell, Nyakigumba town council.

Suzan Rwabuhinga, who saw the body first, says she had gone to her garden and a stench forced her to look around the garden until she saw Kiiza's body in a stream.

Rwabuhinga says she quickly informed her neighbours about the horrific incident before calling police.

Simon Byakagaba, the Nsagasa B chairperson, says he was informed about Kiiza's disappearance on Feb 7, and he immediately informed Nyakigumba Town Council police, and they launched a search for him. He, however, adds that their search was also fruitless even when they reached Itojo.
