Most intelligent countries invest into their venerable sections of society, children and women tend to take that favor. Why women are counted among the venerable in 2021 still bothers me, but children in many countries qualify to that classification. And rightly so. Thus you will find sections of hospitals that are built to specifically deal with children, the city of Toronto is a very classic example, we have an international class sick kids hospital. A full-fledged children hospital. The Toronto Sick Kids hospital as it is officially known treats the best in children, they are flown in from all countries to get the services we offer. I have seen children flown in from United States, India, Israel and many Canadian cities, for the marvelous service towards children that we offer.  Sick kids hospital is in middle of expansion to build a more massive department to again take care of children. We separate twins, we do brain surgery, we have a super baby organ transplant program, a kids diet section to you name it, for kids are that valuable. Yes it has even a helicopter ambulance landing pad, so we can whisk a kid out of firkin Sudbury direct into the hospital and see what is the problem that fails to be solved out there. Billions of dollars is spent and fundraised to run this marvelous gift we have created in this city.

 

Kids are that important to this country thank God.

 

A war happened in Uganda, where children were specifically targeted, yes I am not making this just out of my mind, some body among us decided with a clear mind to target children as a style to make a political point. He/she used them by cutting their lips, ears, noses and vaginas off. This Is not a Hollywood story it actually happened in real life in Uganda. We ended up with thousands of children with disinformed bodies, when a society fails to protect children who does it protect? Who did we leave them to for protection? Who did we expect them to run to for protection?

 

I need that to clearly firkin sink in.

 

Did this bother any of you? No it actually never bothered any Ugandan, we abandoned them a second time by failing to find out exactly why this happened, who did it, and why? But how to denounce and stop it. There was never an outrage, no reporters going after it, we just walloped on with our firkin lives as if nothing happened, to today they just faded away with half faces for we just never gave a F….K. In 2021 as you read this writing, no Uganda reporter, international reporter, NGO, Ugandan, none Uganda, forum like UAH, an international organization, and international NGO, a Uganda or out side Uganda church, religious denomination, political party, academician, not a single human being has ever stood up for those children to wonder how we as Ugandans, collectively failed to protect them. Even the International court and World Health Organization, not  single organization has ever stood up to find how Uganda children ended up Infront of a firkin battle ground. It just surprisingly phased out its self, and we continued to live our lives “normal”.

 

And to you walking away with “Oh well they were Acholi kids” Yes that is true, they were Acholi children but no Acholi ever woke up in his/her wildest dream and expect his/her children to wake up a target of a firkin war. If it happened to them that surprise that walked through Acholi land that you have neglected to face, will one day visit the Banyankole kids, the Baganda kids, the Iteso kids, the firkin Jap kids. Only that this time around it is not going to be the lips or vaginas but the left arm, the right leg, we will just cut off the baby finger of every son, we will target the firkin knee caps of every Jap daughter, we will go after ankles of the Lugbara daughters, Nubi sons will lose heels. If we have agreed that it is normal to use children as a political weapon in a war, it is going to expand from Acholi kids to any tribe in Uganda, and only the style will change. We can even use the very same style, go after the lips the nose the vaginas the what have you in the next tribe.

And when you lay on the ground, and put your ears clearly to the ground, you will hear a very small voice of Peter Simon Okurut calling on how dangerous was Iddi Amin to target an Indian family in Wobulenzi or Bamunanika, a family that was officially killed to implement a government agenda of an economical war that has been very successful to today. Firkin Indians left Uganda and will never ever control 3/4s of Uganda economy as Obote one government allowed them to freely range. There are Indians in Uganda today but we are equal. A Muyindi can never stand in Kampala and call a Ugandan stupid. Wewe Mujinga kuja hapa, wewe nafikiri yi ni mail yanyoko, Pumbavu. That is how low the Indians that were protected by the UPC government treated us way back. They spit in many faces of Ugandans, I physically saw it. And Peter Simon Okurut in a small voice stands up today in 2021 to complain how dare Amin blow up that family to remove tens of thousands that had spread in Uganda like a firkin disease. Indians in Uganda were way worse than COVID-19 has been to society. Sadly when Uganda children get used in a firkin war, it does not even qualify as water cooler conversation in Peter Simon Okurut’s house. And a man calls your country a shit-hole and you impeach him even twice for fuck sakes.          -> Sorry  !!!!!!

 

Other countries are discussing mass testing, COVID vaccines, and climate change. In Uganda, we are talking about going back into a bloody election. Think about all the conversations we have had since November, a bloody nomination that left the city in a mess, then we went into a messy campaign and we ended up in a messy election and now in a staggering post-election period. We are losing time and other countries are moving fast, shall we ever move on? Can we discuss coffee bills? Sugar bills or even the way forward with a stimulus package for COVID-19 for businesses?
