{UAH} “Did you see me kidnapping someone” , Yoweri Kaguta Museveni
The Ugandan president, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) bush war hero, came out and spoke to the press saying that, that there is no one who was kidnapped but rather those were arrested were suspected of conniving with the enemies of the peace of Uganda.
Yoweri Kaguta MuseveniOn pressure of the public outcry, the president was answering back to the press which was asking him of thousands of questions about the abducted people who were missing on the list that was read to the parliament last week.
Museveni said that the public should not worry about these people because he had already instructed the security agents to pin lists of all those individuals in the hands of the security for matters of clarity.

"why are you asking me so many questions?Did you see me kidnapping someone myself?I have also received so many calls from people asking me where their husbands and children are. I cannot promise I will have them all,but am doing my best."He said.
Authorities in Uganda deny targetting civilians and president Museveni is often credited with presiding over relative peace and security.
Museveni added that he believes that there will be more action following the strongly and much public outcry.
Since November riots last year, that escalated after the arrest of Bobi Wine in Luuka, many people especially the youths, have been abducted by security forces and whisked away by unknown plain clothed people.
Bobi Wine rubbished the president's sentiments and instead said that Museveni is simply trying to downplay the abductions and push a narrative that all is well, even when families nationwide are in tears over their missing loved ones.
