{UAH} PRINCIPAL HAS A BULLETPROOF VEST
By Stella Nyanzi,
PRINCIPAL HAS A BULLETPROOF VEST
Verse 1)
After the violent murders and shootings of opposition comrades in his camp,
Principal got a bulletproof vest and helmet.
Oh, the stench of this vest and helmet!
It stinks like memories of the little rich brat at school who ate chocolate-nougat while other pupils starved.
It stinks like the rich duplicitous countries which have COVID19 vaccines when our masses cannot afford reusable cloth masks.
It stinks like the sorry excuse of a chief who imported Condoms against HIV only for use with his wife yet he was sowing wild oats in the bellies of his subjects.
You all pretend not to smell the selfishness!
I once wrote on tee-shirts:
"Ugandan Lives Matter!"
Chorus:
Breathe! Stop holding your breath.
Principal got a bulletproof vest and helmet.
Oh, the stench of this vest and helmet!
I once wrote on tee-shirts:
"Ugandan Lives Matter!"
Verse 2)
The stench of Principal's bulletproof vest and helmet took me to our recent history of the struggle; took me to the Arua Stone...
When a cold bullet tore through Yassin Kawuma, he was not wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet.
When SFC military boots and gun butts broke the spinal discs, fibia and ulna of Shaban Atiku, he was not wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet.
When SFC military men brutalised the bodies of Night Asmara and Jane Abola, these women were not wearing bulletproof vests.
When SFC military men dumped Francis Zaake's brutalised and broken body after thumping it thoroughly, he never had a bulletproof vest and helmet.
Chorus:
Breathe! Stop holding your breath.
Principal got a bulletproof vest and helmet.
Oh, the stench of this vest and helmet!
I once wrote on tee-shirts:
"Ugandan Lives Matter!"
Verse 3)
The stench of Principal's bulletproof vest and helmet recalled recent murders by police.
When police officers in a truck knocked Rita Nabukenya's beautiful bold body off a bodaboda motorbike and crashed her soul to death, she never had a bulletproof vest and helmet.
When other police officers shot to death Daniel Kyeyune - a son of one of their own, he was not wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet.
When more police officers knocked down Charles Mutyabule from his bodaboda escorting the Principal's entourage, he was not wearing a bulletproof vest and helmet.
Chorus:
Breathe! Stop holding your breath.
Principal got a bulletproof vest and helmet.
Oh, the stench of this vest and helmet!
I once wrote on tee-shirts:
"Ugandan Lives Matter!"
Verse 4)
The stench of Principal's bulletproof vest and helmet recalled the fear that gripped us because of deaths and wounds from so-called stray bullets in November 2020.
About one hundred Ugandans wantonly shot dead by so-called stray bullets. None had a single bulletproof vest and helmet.
Many more unarmed civilians wounded through the same so-called stray bullets. They had no bulletproof vest and helmet.
Roadside stalls and arcade businesses brought to a standstill because of so-called stray bullets in the middle of a city in broad daylight. These businesses had no bulletproof vest or helmet.
Chorus:
Breathe! Stop holding your breath.
Principal got a bulletproof vest and helmet.
Oh, the stench of this vest and helmet!
I once wrote on tee-shirts:
"Ugandan Lives Matter!"
Verse 5)
Need I remind any of the deaths and wounds of innocent civilians surrounding Das Principal since the start of this year?
Journalists, cameramen, security, legislators, lawyers, supporters, idle bystanders, even haters - none of whom wear bulletproof vests and helmets.
Don't you smell the fresh deaths around us?
Don't you smell the rotting wounds of comrades?
Don't their lives matter?
Don't our lives matter, too?
Chorus:
Breathe! Stop holding your breath.
Principal got a bulletproof vest and helmet.
Oh, the stench of this vest and helmet!
I once wrote on tee-shirts:
"Ugandan Lives Matter!"
