A Uganda Munwe on EM's table tonight

 

For a very long time I have raised the failure of Uganda products having standards. Allow me to walk you through a meeting I have held with a visitor tonight. This girl is a Canadian white that loves Africa. She follows the continent, and she buys Uganda products. She bought a box of Matoke and she found this piece sitting in. And her question was why did any one decide to pack it?

 

Now that question might not mean that much to you, but it affects what you ship out. It is very possible even that the store selling them never knew what was inside, for they trust that it is good. Central American countries selling this product are way forward from Uganda, their Matooke is clean thus washed. It is packed in one size, small in one box, medium in one box and large in one box. You walk in to buy when you know what size you are buying. Costa Rica actually sells only one size big ones. I am not struggling about size in a Uganda box, I am not struggling about washing Matooke, I am not struggling about tying these things with Kagogwa, but how does this Munwe reach Toronto for real?

 

Do you know if it has no infection?

 

Museveni does not control how this product is packed, Ugandans do, MPs do not control how this product is packed Uganda's do. And for some very unknown reason a Ugandan felt that this is a good Munwe to be exported. That is a huge problem in society and a huge problem in export, for with this single Munwe the entire market can be closed, and yet that single Ugandan that packed it did not even care. Well if he does not pack Matooke today he will park something else, thus you do not have a collective mind of this is a bad representation of our country. This is someone that just does not care if the market is available to Uganda or not.

 

Which brings me to the bottom line question, is it possible rather plausible, that all these products are actually packed by Rwandans like Allan Barigye?
