BUSINESS TIP:

The one thing I have often told those who care to listen several times, Register your business name.If you decide not to go full circle with the whole process of formalisation it's fine but if your serious about doing that business long term then register it (name).

We have had many cases of people who come after a few years of operation and want to register a particular name they have been operating under. "It's what my clients know", they say but unfortunately they can't have it. The years they have invested building this name, the resources they have invested in branding and marketing and now the registry says they can't have it. It's already in use by some one else or it's too similar to what's already there.

Before you invest time, money and energy in building a name/brand make sure you secure that name.
